■ More Effective Usage Methods
① Install on a portion of the cage
Install on approximately 1/3 to 1/2 of the floor surface to create a hot spot and a cool area, allowing the animal to self-regulate to its preferred temperature.
② Use with insulation
Lining the outside of the heater (bottom of the cage) with cork board or an insulation mat improves heat efficiency, allowing for stable warming while reducing power consumption.
③ Use with a thermometer
Always check the actual temperature near the floor surface.
Perceived temperature varies depending on the ambient temperature and installation material.
④ Precautions for side installation
When installing on the side, heat efficiency will significantly decrease if there is a gap between the heater and the cage surface.
Be sure to secure it tightly to ensure close contact and prevent air gaps.
Gaps can cause heat loss and may prevent sufficient temperature from being achieved.
⑤ Use with other heaters
In low-temperature environments, combining with a ceramic heater or basking light can stabilize both ambient and contact temperatures.

? Installation that heats the entire cage
Heating the entire cage prevents the creation of a temperature gradient, leaving the animal with no escape.
? Use without a thermometer
The actual surface temperature changes depending on the ambient temperature and substrate.

? Direct placement on a cold floor without insulation
If the floor is made of cold materials (tiles, metal shelves, etc.), heat will escape, reducing effectiveness.
? Side installation with gaps

? Use when submerged in water
Although waterproof, this is not an underwater heater.
